I don’t know about you, but I frequently crave garlic bread. It’s my go to night time snack, and also the reason I find it impossible to lose weight. Cheese and carbs? What’s wrong with that? Anyway, in moderation they aren’t too bad, and it’s even better if you use wheat tortillas, like I did. That adds in the fiber and makes it better. Not perfect, but better. Here’s how you can have some simple garlic roll ups in minutes to help you beat down the craving monster like I do, or at least give you an easy side with spaghetti.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then start with a couple of tortillas. Ta-da! Easy, see, I promised!
Top it with some shredded mozzarella cheese. You can just grab some pre-shredded from the bag, or shred it yourself from a block like I do. Still easy, just a bit more time consuming.
Garlic powder! Be careful, it comes out fast, at least this brand does. You want some good flavor, but don’t go overboard. Just sprinkle a little bit on there. It’s not like you’re trying to ward off vampires. Or are you?
Roll it all up and hold it together with a toothpick. Yum, I can taste it already just looking at that picture!
Bake it for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is all melted and gooey. I cut each one in half and serve hot. Everyone loves it!
Let me know what you think of these. Also feel free to share any inspirations you’ve come up with from this recipe. I always love to see how people run with simple recipes like this.
